Job Summary

The Mentor Teacher is responsible for serving as the lead teacher in specialized academic instruction, legal compliance of IEPs, and support in facilitating professional development and mentoring of classroom teachers.? The Mentor Teacher supports teachers in designing and implementing the school curriculum, completing assessments, and monitoring progress.? They are the site coordinators for State Assessments.? Additionally, the Mentor Teacher completes academic standardized assessments, mentors new teachers in administering the assessment, and reports assessment results in IEP meetings.?This position currently reports to the Head of School.
