Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of an assigned administrator, assist with the strategic planning of management information services for the Madera County Superintendent of Schools (MCSOS) and the school districts of Madera County; plan, organize, and direct the design and maintenance of the Local and Wide Area Networks, phone systems, core server services and backup strategies, maintenance and support of personal computers for the MCSOS; train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field and five years increasingly responsible information technology administration experience. Two years of experience with SQL database setup and configuration and two years of experience with cloud-based services, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS. Three years of experience with advanced network configuration and installation. Microsoft and COMPTIA server + certifications are preferred. Cisco CCNA, CCDP preferred. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license. Incumbents must be insurable by the liability carrier for the Madera County Superintendent of Schools.
