Job Summary
The Dance Team Coach is responsible for all aspects of the dance team as well as being committed to the academic mission of Culver City High School. The Dance Team Coach teaches dance (hip-hop, jazz, majorette, etc), choreographs performance routines for students, and provides for the coaching, recruitment and retention of students participating as members of the dance team.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - 1-3 years experience coaching a dance team (head coaching experience preferred) - Experience in various dance styles, especially hip-hop, jazz, and majorette. - Have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive, and qualify under the district’s insurance carrier when driving a district vehicle. - Valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification or able to secure within 1 month of employment. - Desire to continue career improvement.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: All employment offers are conditional, based upon the successful completion of the following: Fingerprint/background clearance and a tuberculosis clearance. A physical examination clearance is required for certain positions for the district. All candidates with a record of convictions must indicate such on the confidential data form, which is attached to the job application. A record of conviction will not automatically disqualify an applicant from employment, but a failure to list all convictions may result in disqualification or dismissal.
