Under general supervision, perform varied secretarial and clerical work functions in support of daily operations. (Please read the job description before applying for this position.)

Requirements / Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent is required. . The ability to communicate with a diverse group of people on a daily basis . Possession of a valid California driver's license . Learn and apply policies, regulations and operational procedures . Effectively and efficiently operate computers and utilize application software . Establish and maintain comprehensive and accurate files and records and prepareconcise and complete reports as required . Type on a keyboard at a net corrected speed of 40 words per minute . Make mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy . Understand and carry out oral and written directions. . Communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner . Apply policies and procedures related to the assigned duties and responsibilities of the position . Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships . Work independently with little direction . Meet schedules and time lines . Compose documents and correspondence . Modern office practices, procedures and techniques . Correct English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation . Modern office methods and equipment, including computers and assigned software . District organization, operations, policies and objectives . Automated record management and filing systems . Telephone techniques . Correspondence and report writing
