Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation. Modesto City Schools also offers an Induction Program with a state approved curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential. Photocopy/verification of valid California Teaching Credential including English Learner authorization. English Learners authorization is required for all certificated positions.

Length of Work Year
2025-2026 School Year - 195 days per year. Generally, five (5) days before and five (5) days after the basic teacher work year schedule. Schedules may vary for Saturday professional development facilitated, as agreed upon by both member and supervisor.
