We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech and Language

Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for students.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Assessment and Diagnosis:

 Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and voice

Utilize standardized tests, observations, and clinical evaluations to determine the nature and severity of communication and swallowing impairments.

Treatment Planning and Intervention:

Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, student goals, and medical history.

Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice production, and language comprehension and expression.

Address swallowing disorders through therapeutic exercises and techniques.

2. Therapy Sessions:

Conduct therapy sessions with students of all ages

Implement a variety of therapeutic approaches and modalities to meet the diverse needs of clients.

Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Prepare written reports and documentation for students, families, referring physicians, and other school professionals as needed.

4.Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, educators, occupational therapists, and other school professionals, to ensure coordinated care.

Communicate effectively with students, families, and caregivers to educate them about communication disorders and involve them in the treatment process.

 

Requirements / Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
