Under the direction of the Principal, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or other learning environment; assist in the preparation of instructional materials.

Eligible applicants must have completed one of the following: * Associates Degree; OR * 48 College Units; OR * High School Diploma and Passage of the NCLB (ESSA) Paraprofessional Test. BOUSD offers the NCLB (ESSA) Paraprofessional Test to applicants for FREE!

Location: Laurel and Country Hills Elementary
Hours: 5.5 hours/day
Shift: Laurel 7:45 AM -1:45 PM, Country Hills 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Monday - Friday (9.5 months per year)
Sick leave and vacation are earned on a prorated basis at the rate of one day per month. Comprehensive insurance including medical, dental, vision, and life available. District contribution to Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).
California School Employees Association Agreement Article VI, 6.1.3 states: "Voluntary transfer/promotion requests by an employee for an opening shall be given prior consideration over a new employee." Article VI, 6.3.2 states: "When a new position is created or an existing position becomes vacant, the District shall first offer the opportunity to transfer or to seek promotion to bargaining unit employees."
Applicants may be rejected on the basis of an incomplete application or failure to meet the posted qualifications.
