The free, short application for the MCOE - Alder GSE Teacher Residency at Alder GSE is now open! ALDER is recruiting a cohort of teacher residents for the Monterey County Teacher Residency. This is an innovative and affordable pathway to a full-time teaching career in our community. Residents earn their Master’s Degree and Teaching Credential in just one year through the Alder Graduate School of Education, while joining a supportive, mentor-based program with an emphasis on social justice and equity. After the year of successful residency, graduates receive priority hiring as King City Union School District teachers.

BENEFITS $40,000 Living stipend (Residents are not employees of the school) Up to $46,000 in federal financial aid/loans Master's Degree and Credential upon completions of the program Priority hiring for a full-time position at the school of residency REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS -Bachelor’s degree completed by the end of June 2026 -A grade point average (GPA) of 2.65 (If your GPA is under 2.65 you may appeal and provide more context.
