The Position of Principal, under the direction of the Superintendent, is charged with the overall leadership of high schools. This would include but not be limited to academic leadership, certificated and classified employee supervision, communication and relationship building with parents and outside agencies working with the school.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of a Master’s Degree or higher including all courses needed to meet credential requirements.
Credential: Completion of a clear preliminary credential and an administrative credential required. Hold certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching or counseling experience and five (5) years of site administrative experience is required.
Knowledge: Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge of current educational practices regarding the improvement of instruction, clinical supervision, effective schools, online and blended training, instructional strategies and other current educational trends
