Mentor Teacher 6-12 Qualifications • Los Angeles Leadership Academy employee • Teaching Credential • Knowledgeable of LALA policies and procedures • Proficient in implementation of technology • Effective Communication Skills • Bilingual preferred • Satisfactory Evaluations Responsibilities • Support new teachers to use the school curriculum and Instructional Programs • Support new teachers with classroom management strategies • Guide new teachers through thoughtful analysis and reflection of teaching methods to improve instruction • Conduct observations and constructive non evaluative feedback on teaching practices • Hold monthly meetings (at least 1 meeting a month with new Teachers) and ( 1 meeting a month with administration). • Establish and maintain a trusting and supportive relationship with new teachers
