Job Purpose Statement: Under the general direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Cybersecurity Administrator is responsible for leading and managing the organization's comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and operations. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining rigorous cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and controls to safeguard sensitive data, systems, and critical infrastructure. The Cybersecurity Administrator is also tasked with proactively monitoring for potential cybersecurity threats, conducting incident response, and coordinating recovery efforts to ensure the organization’s and county school districts' security posture remains robust and resilient. Additionally, the role includes providing cybersecurity expertise, training, and support to county school districts, and leading cybersecurity projects and initiatives. • Experience: Two years of current professional experience in Information Technology systems administration, or systems support with a demonstrated competency in cybersecurity, project management, and leadership. • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Computer Science, or a closely related field is preferred. Education at a level that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
