Job Summary

Under the direction of the California Association of Health and Education Linked Professions (CAHELP) JPA Chief Executive Officer, the Program Specialist, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provides support in the form of consultation, coaching, one-to-one and group presentations; classroom support, information for effective instructional, behavioral, and transition strategies for general and special education teachers, related services personnel, and others providing instructional services to students. For the current assignment: certification and/or demonstrated expertise in the areas of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and facilitating IEP meetings, informal and formal resolution sessions, and pre- and post-due process filing sessions is required and must be demonstrated on the resume or application packet.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Master’s degree in special education or a related field from an accredited college or university; • Possession of a valid California Special Education Teaching, or Pupil Personnel Services: School Psychologist credential; • Three (3) years of experience teaching special education or providing special education related services.
