Job Summary
The job of Technology Support Technician is done for the purpose/s of serving as a resource for users of district wide technology systems; analyzing problems and issues related to the technology systems, related hardware and software; and assisting end-users with setup, connectivity, maintenance, and operational performance.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Community college and/or vocational school degree with study in job-related area. One year of experience in a computer hardware/software user support environment has been found to be a minimum requirement for successful job performance. Relevant experience, education, certificates and/or licenses may be substituted. SELECTION PROCESS: All completed applications will be reviewed to ensure minimum qualifications are met. Qualified applicants will be invited to take a written exam scheduled for August 27, 2025. Candidates who earn a passing score of 70% or higher will be ranked by score. The top 10 candidates, plus any ties, will be invited to the oral exam on September 4, 2025. Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70% on both the written and oral exams to be considered for the eligibility list. Final hiring interviews will be conducted with candidates in the top three ranks on the eligibility list. All exams will be based on the job description, which is available on the District website, through the Personnel Commission, or in Human Resources.
