Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent, and is a member of Executive Cabinet. The Asst. Superintendent of Academic Services, plans, organizes, manages, and directs all aspects of the District’s instructional program, providing leadership to District personnel, with specific responsibility for the planning, development, implementation, assessment, and improvement of curriculum and instruction/teaching and learning in the District, and complying with federal and state laws, and District regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS-QUALIFICATIONS 1. Master’s degree in educational administration, curriculum and instruction, or related field is required. 2. Completion of courses in curriculum development and coursework design within the assigned area of responsibility is desirable. 3. 5 years of successful administrative and supervising management experience at the school site level. 4. A minimum of five (5) years experience in curriculum and development and/or other job related occupations is required. 5. Experience working directly with public school districts is required. 6. Possession of a valid California professional clear multiple subject teaching credential is required. 7. Possession of a valid California administrative credential authorizing service as an administrator is required. 8. Must be willing to attend evening, night, and weekend meetings. 9. 3 years of successful Principal experience mandatory.
