Job Summary

Job Summary

DCYHC is currently seeking a Health Educator. Come join our JUHSD family where all members of this dynamic team are united by a shared commitment to serve all students! DCYHC is a collaborative program of JUHSD & the San Mateo County Health Services Agency. The center provides comprehensive, integrated, school-linked behavioral health and education services to children, teens, young adults, and their families, dedicated to transforming their lives through evidence-based care. Our services include primary medical care, mental health counseling, health education, and substance use prevention. With a variety of services conveniently located in one building, our integrated model allows us not only to bridge the gap between behavioral and physical health but also to assist families with food and housing security, vaccination and testing, and other resources. The Health Educator role is perfect for someone with experience in teaching and/or youth work who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment. We value inclusivity, diversity, and, most importantly—a fun and open mindset! Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as you’ll be responsible for leading engaging programs and connecting with diverse communities. You will be teaching state required sex-ed curriculum to students at all JUHSD high schools. Topics include: consent, healthy relationships, STIs, birth control, gender and sexuality and more! Additionally, you will run an after-school peer education group that empowers young people with leadership skills and health related information. This fully in-person role allows you to work at multiple public school sites, making each day different and exciting, with the potential for a hybrid schedule after one year. To thrive in this position, you’ll need a valid driver’s license and access to a safe, reliable vehicle, availability to start on August 4, 2025.
