Nevada City School of the Arts (NCSOTA), a TK-8 charter school in operation since 1994, is seeking a dynamic, culturally aware, stimulating and qualified Dance Elective Teacher to join our team. JOB TITLE: ELECTIVE TEACHER – DANCE SCHEDULE: 2025/26 School Year – Part-time 4 hrs/wk (Tues/Thurs) WAGE: $30-$35 per hour, depending on experience SUMMARY: The Dance Teacher is tasked with teaching all types of dance from all types of cultures, educating students in dance numbers for productions, ensuring the health and safety needs of all students in their care are met, preparing students for their end-of-the-year performances in a manner that nurtures and guides them, with great consideration for the needs of each individual child and the class as a whole, while supporting the vision & mission of NCSOTA. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate the planning and implementation of appropriate instructional/learning strategies and activities, including determination of appropriate type and level of materials in collaboration with the classroom teacher. Manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement Assess student abilities and achievement as related to desired educational goals, objectives, and outcomes and maintain appropriate assessment and evaluation documentation for institutional and individual reporting purposes Communicate with students on instructional expectations and keep them informed of their progress For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
