Job Summary
Under direction of the school principal, to teach independently and instruct pupils in kindergarten and grades one through six or a combination of the same in academic, social, behavioral, manipulative, and other related skill areas; to plan, develop, organize, and conduct a comprehensive education program for early childhood primary or middle grade pupils; to assist pupils and parents in making an appropriate transition from a home-centered environment to a more structured educational environment requiring an increased level of independence; and to do other related functions as required.

Applicants who are first assigned to a TK classroom after July 1, 2015, will need to show they have one of the following by August 1, 2025: *At least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both *Professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children comparable to the 24 units of education described in bullet 1 (comparability determined by the local employing agency) *Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing
- Certificate Copy (Proof of earned baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university)
- Copy of Transcript (Transcripts showing ECE or CD units)
- Credential Copy (Valid California credential authorizing service for the assignment applying and Child Development permit)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three (3) current letters of recommendation signed within the past year)
- Resume
