BASIC FUNCTION Under the supervision of the site principal, principal’s designee, or Movement Department Chair, the Dance Facilitator supports movement-based enrichment aligned with the school’s physical, social-emotional, and creative development goals. This classified role assists with the implementation of a dance program that promotes student confidence, discipline, teamwork, and positive engagement. The facilitator collaborates with credentialed movement staff to foster a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for all students.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in dance, performing arts, kinesiology, child development or a related field preferred but not required. Dance training certification and prior experience facilitating physical movement activities with youth are highly desirable. This is a classified, non-certificated position overseen by a credentialed educator. Two years of experience working with youth in dance, performing arts, or enrichment settings required.
