Adult Education has a Career and Technical Education Department part-time Instructor for the Careers in Hospitality.

Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of the Career and Technical Education Supervisor, the instructor will provide classroom instruction and work-based learning opportunities for the Careers in Hospitality class. This course will teach participants about the necessary workplace skills to get and keep a job in the hospitality industry and/or transfer to Napa Valley College. The instructor will teach basic customer service skills and work with students to explore the various jobs in Hospitality. Provide hands-on experience in a professional kitchen, a local hotel, event center, spa, or winery. The instructor will prepare students to get ServSafe certified and teach basic cooking techniques.

California Teaching Credential (to be discussed) Verification of five (5) years of full time work experience directly related to any of the following: Culinary, Food and Beverage Management, Hospitality Services/Management Hotel Even Coordinator. Two of the five years of required work experience may be substituted with a college degree
