This job is distinguished from similar jobs by the following characteristics: The Computer Support Technician I is the second in a multi-level career path for generalist technical support to personal computer workstations. At second level incumbents are expected to respond to inquiries and assist personal computer users with routine instruction and troubleshooting of common software and input/output problems. This job reports to Director of Information Network Services
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicant is required to have any combination of 2 years of education in computer hardware and software components, operating systems, or data communications software and one year of experience in a computer hardware/software user support environment. Relevant job related certificates and/or licenses may be substituted.
