The Orange Unified School District serves approximately 24,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12th and encompasses all or part of the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, Santa Ana and Villa Park. In 1953, the citizens of the area voted to form a “unified” school district, combining the original five elementary districts with the high school district into one unified district, now known as the Orange Unified School District. The Administrator, Secondary Education, plays a vital leadership role in coordinating and supporting student-centered systems and programs across the district’s secondary schools. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Secondary Education, this position provides districtwide leadership for secondary athletics and activities, school counseling, and the development and implementation of secondary school programs, including summer school. This administrator works closely with athletic and activities directors, school counselors, site administrators, and central office departments to ensure programs are efficiently managed, aligned with district values, and accessible to all students. The focus of this role is on systems facilitation, program oversight, and ensuring consistency and equity across secondary schools.
Experience:
Five years of experience in a responsible school or District administrative position performing education leadership, instructional and student support services and related functions.
Education:
Possession of a Master's degree or higher in educational administration, instructional supervision, curriculum, development and design, special education, public administration, or closely related fields.
