Summary This position teaches Physical Education twice a week for each class in TK-8 grades during the school day., This is a part time exempt position. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Physical Education Teacher: o Teach 22 PE classes per week o Lead classes through a safe and entertaining curriculum designed to have students develop interest in basic fitness, new sports, and physical activities while following State PE Standards o Work towards building a fun and teamwork-oriented environment for our students to grow and thrive o Evaluate students based on participation and behavior within the class o Maintain Gradelink gradebooks for all classes taught o Organize school events such as Field Day, Fun Run, and House Competitions Qualifications: o High School diploma or GED required o Bachelor of Science in teaching or physical education preferred o CPR Certification o A personal faith in Jesus Christ that informs a sense of vocation o Good time management and scheduling skills o Proficient at training, teaching, presenting curriculum to both students and peers Schedule A typical schedule will an proximately 6 hour shift Monday through Thursday. The school year runs from mid August to mid June. Work Environment The Physical Education (PE) Teacher will work in a dynamic and active environment, primarily on school grounds including gymnasiums, outdoor fields, playgrounds, and multipurpose rooms. The role requires frequent movement, supervision of students during physical activity, and exposure to various weather conditions when working outdoors. The PE teacher may also be required to lift and move sports equipment, demonstrate exercises, and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students. Occasional evening or weekend duties may be required for school events or athletic activities.

Teaching PE 20 hours a week to grades K-8. (Primary teaching responsibility will be teaching grades 5-8 PE.)
Working collaboratively with the PE teacher/Athletic Director.
Participating and contributing to academic excellence in a caring Christian learning community.
Requirements / Qualifications
