Santa Maria-Bonita School District CAFETERIA MANAGER II BASIC FUNCTION Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, plan, organize, coordinate, lead and serve in the operation of a school food service, catering and banquet operation; perform skilled functions in the preparation and serving, cooking and baking of a variety of soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and baked goods; requisition, receive, serve and store foodstuffs and supplies; maintain a variety of records and prepare reports. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES Plan, schedule, provide work direction, lead, and participate in the preparation, cooking, baking, and serving of a variety of lunch and breakfast foods, including cooked main dishes, vegetables, hot and cold sandwiches, salads, and dessertsE; train cafeteria personnelE; plan and develop work schedulesE; provide technical input into the performance evaluation of cafeteria personnelE; maintain inventory and storeroom recordsE; coordinate and review the counting of cash and the preparation of cash receipts and bank depositsE; requisition foodstuffs and suppliesE; order, receive, inspect, and confirm the quantity and quality of foodstuffs deliveredE; lead and participate in portion control and the wrapping, arranging, and storage of foods to ensure appropriate and efficient use of foodstuffs and suppliesE; maintain the food service facility in a clean, neat, safe, and sanitary conditionE; maintain a variety of records pertaining to the food service facility operation and prepare written daily milk, breakfast and lunch and other reports as requiredE; supervise children while eating as assigned; assist in menu planning and adhere to predetermined menus; assist in the planning and preparation of banquet and catering type service as required; prepare sack lunches for field trips as required; prepare and package hot and cold foods for delivery to other school fo
