Job Summary
Under the direction of the Safety Supervisor, provide support for the safety and welfare of personnel, students, facilities, grounds policy, classroom and non-classroom activities, and District employees while on district grounds; respond to reports of vandalism, burglary, fire, or other emergencies at various district facilities; patrol assigned campus, buildings, and grounds on foot or in a District vehicle; supports the instructional process with specific responsibilities for the safety and welfare of students while on school grounds; monitoring personnel and/or visitors; communicating information in response to inquiries; and enforcing the school and District rules and regulations pertaining to student academic behavior and drug prevention. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California driver’s license. CPR/First Aid Certification SB 1626 Certificate. Successful completion of SB 390 training and certification (Anyone employed on or after July 1, 2021, must submit proof of training or the training can be completed through District training program upon employment (Senate Bill No. 390, Chapter 475).

If the promotional list contains fewer than three eligible and willing ranks, certification of additional ranks shall be made from the open list. The examination process will consist of a written examination and an oral technical interview. Applicants will be notified of their application status via email.
