Job Summary
Position Summary: The Public Information Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating the district's communications, media relations, and public information efforts. This includes writing and editing press releases, supervising communications staff, acting as a liaison between the district and media, and supporting school-to-home and community communication. Key Responsibilities: Develop and distribute publications, news releases, and multimedia content Coordinate media relations and serve as district spokesperson Maintain district website and respond to public records requests Plan, supervise, and evaluate communications projects Support special events, public outreach, and district messaging
Requirements / Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
