Job Summary
Job Summary
On-call, day to day, substitute teacher for Pre-K through Grade 12. Present lessons outlined by permanent classroom teacher and manage classroom behavior in teacher's absence. Assignment depends upon need. Substitute Teacher can be employed by any of the 26 school districts in Siskiyou County.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Teaching Credential and/or Substitute Permit Background Clearance, paid for by applicant Proof of negative TB
To qualify for California Substitute Permit applicant must have a BA/BS from accredited college/university. Official transcripts must be presented at time of registration with Siskiyou COE. Active email account Cost of permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is $102.50, which applicant pays. If you haven't already completed your Live Scan fingerprints you will have to set up an appointment with the County Office of Education. Depending on what you need the cost can be between $55.00 - $127.00 by cash or check.
