Facilities Director 
Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, a premier Catholic, all-girls independent day and boarding school founded in 1931 by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose, seeks a dedicated and experienced Facilities Director to lead the maintenance and enhancement of our 36-acre hillside campus. Committed to fostering an environment that supports academic, spiritual, and personal growth for young women, we require a leader who embodies stewardship, innovation, and a service-oriented mindset. 
 
Position Overview 
Reporting to the Head of School or designated administrator, the Facilities Director will oversee all aspects of campus operations, ensuring a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment that aligns with our mission of holistic education and community well-being. This full-time role demands hands-on leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and external vendors. 

Qualifications 
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, architecture, or a related field; advanced certification (e.g., CFM, LEED) preferred. 
  • At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in facilities management, ideally in an educational or nonprofit setting such as a school, university, or religious institution. 
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and project management tools. 
  • Proven leadership skills with experience supervising teams and managing budgets exceeding $1 million. 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
  • Familiarity with California-specific regulations and experience in a residential or campus environment preferred. 
  • Alignment with the mission of Catholic education; practicing Catholic preferred but not required.
