Responsibilities and Duties
Instruct Jr. High school science and math classes.
Create, plan, and implement appropriate curriculum as needed.
Manage time effectively between class lesson preparation, assignment grading, and other duties.
Personal Qualifications
A believer who is deeply committed to a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ, including personal devotions and prayer.
Show in his/her life the joy of the Christian life.
Follow the Matthew 18 Principle in dealing with students, athletes, coaches, faculty, parents and administration.
Motivate students to accept God's gift of salvation and to grow in their faith.
Recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for their children's education and be prepared to assist them in that task.
Respectfully submit and be loyal to constituted authority. Shall notify the administration of any policy he/she is unable to support.
Maintain a professional appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste, and in agreement with school policy.
In general, maintain a life that is suitable to the role of teacher as the representative of Victory Christian Schools to VCS families and the general public.
Professional and Education Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of 3 years experience as a math and science instructor.
Strong, proactive leadership and teaching skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to properly manage the classroom and students.
Knowledge and proficiency in the use of math and science curriculum, teaching methodologies, and structures.
Personal Testimony of Faith
We are a Christian school, and we desire to nurture the students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. The strongest applicants will have an active Christian faith. Those who demonstrate through their Statement of Faith/Testimony paragraph an understanding of how their faith and life connect will be strongly considered for an interview.
