Job Summary
The DSC CTE Building and Construction Teacher will provide instruction in Building and Construction Trades for students enrolled in the District’s CTE Building & Construction Academy. The teacher will develop students’ technical knowledge and hands-on skills aligned with industry standards, pre-apprenticeship programs, and safety certifications. Instruction will emphasize real-world applications, problem-solving, and college and career readiness.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possession of a valid California DSC CTE Building and Constructions Trades Teaching Credential, eligibility to obtain one, or a Valid California Single Subject Credential in Industrial Technology Education/Industrial Arts; English Learner (EL) Authorization; Minimum of three years (3,000 hours) of verifiable and recent industry work experience in construction Current certifications or experience in: OSHA 10 (or ability to earn) & CPR/First Aid (or ability to earn)
