Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTiON: Under the direction of the Principal, plan organize, control and direct all middle school athletic activities; scheduling, and coordinating athletic programs and events on the middle school campus; serve as liaison between administration, staff, parents, students and outside agencies; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel; teach assigned areas as they pertain to the single subject credential and authorized under a valid california teaching credential at the secondary level.

Requirements / Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE OF: 1. Operation of computer hardware and software, as well as other office equipment. 2. Strategies to instruct students individually and in group settings. 3. Innovative curriculum development strategies. 4. Motivational strategies to maximize student performance both within season, as well as outside of the season. ABILITY TO: Communicate effectively in written and verbal form with students, school personnel, parents and administration. EXPERIENCE LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Two years of coaching and successful teaching experience at the secondary level. • A valid California teaching credential authorizing service as a secondary level teacher; Valid California Class C Driver's License. • An earned baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university; a valid First Aid Certificate, including CPR training.
