SUMMARY: To provide leadership in administration, monitoring, and coordination of special education programs and services in the least restrictive environment which meets the needs of students with special needs in accordance with federal and state laws and guidelines.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: • Appropriate California Administrative Credential • Valid teaching credential in Special Education OR Commitment to successfully completing the Special Education Academy. (At least 70 hours) • MA degree • Prior administrative experience including programs for students with special needs • Leadership skills • Organizational skills • Ability to relate well to school personnel and community • Physical and emotional stability • Flexibility • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form • Bilingual in Spanish is desirable

The Lennox School District is seeking a Director of Special Education with a Sign-On Bonus of $10,000.
*Sign-On Bonus of $10,000 for the Director of Special Education will be paid in two (2) installments: $5,000 in first paycheck and $5,000 upon completion of first full year of successful employment.
