
Early Childhood Education Technician at Madera County Superintendent of Schools
Requirements / Qualifications
Under the direction of an assigned administrator, perform a variety of complex, responsible, and technical activities in support of the State Preschool and General Childcare Programs; coordinate and facilitate family and community outreach, enrollment processes, and other program activities including parent meetings, workshops, classes, and conferences; advocate for families and provide support through referral processes with various support service agencies; maintain child data records and assist in report preparation; provide interpretation and translation for communications between County Office personnel, schools, and second language families.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: Associate’s degree in early childhood education, social work, family studies, liberal studies, or related field and two years’ experience working with children or families in a social services or educational environment. Twelve (12) college units of early childhood education and care department (ECE/CD). Child Development Associate Teacher Permit preferred. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license. Incumbents must be insurable by the liability carrier for the Madera County Superintendent of Schools. Speak, read, and write in English and a designated second language.
