QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Special Education required; • A minimum of five (5) years of Behavior Analysis experience; • Possession of Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA) Certification preferred; • Possession of current/valid First Aid and CPR Certification; • Successful experience demonstrating tact, courtesy, positive attitude, and maintaining cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work. OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of the Director of Student Services, provide leadership in the coordination, management, and evaluation of the District’s Behavior Team, including Behavior Specialists and Behavior Intervention Coaches, to ensure equitable access to the instructional program for all students. Supervise and support Behavior Specialists and Behavior Intervention Coaches, including overseeing all aspects of behavior programming. Design, deliver, and coordinate on-site professional development for staff on effective instructional strategies, behavior management, and implementation of behavior intervention plans. Serve as a liaison with school site leadership to ensure behavioral support needs are identified and addressed. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Effectively coach, monitor, and evaluate Behavior Team members; • Schedule and facilitate Behavior Team meetings and professional development; • Create and monitor systems for behavior referrals and interventions; • Attend non-public school IEP meetings and all department meetings; • Provide training to special education and general education staff on behavior management, strategies, and behavior intervention plans; • Assign behavior staff as indicated to support student referrals; • Provide supervision to monitor and support behavioral program staff on appropriate intervention plans, including data collection procedures and recommendations; • See more in the job description attached below.
