Job Summary

Under the direction of the site administrator, perform a variety of technical and clerical library duties in the acquisition, circulation, maintenance and distribution of library books, textbooks, instructional materials and equipment at an assigned high school; assist students and teachers in the selection, location and use of library materials and equipment.

*High School Diploma or equivalent *Minimum of three years library media experience

Location: Brea Olinda High School Hours: 8.0 hours/day Shift: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 5 days/week, Monday - Friday 11.0 months/year California School Employees Association Agreement Article VI, 6.1.3 states: “Voluntary transfer/promotion requests by an employee for an opening shall be given prior consideration over a new employee.” Article VI, 6.3.2 states: “When a new position is created or an existing position becomes vacant, the District shall first offer the opportunity to transfer or to seek promotion to bargaining unit employees.” All applicants must possess the personal qualifications generally recognized as essential to become an understanding public employee including integrity, initiative, dependability, courtesy, good judgment, and ability to work with others. Applicants may be rejected on the basis of an incomplete application or failure to meet the minimum posted qualifications.
