Job Summary
Under the direction and general supervision of the Executive Director or assigned supervisor, provides leadership, management and coordination of the Human Resources functions and is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and directing all aspects of the operation of Human Resources for personnel, including, but not limited to, recruitment and selection; administration of compensation, benefits and payroll; managing the credentialing process, including communicating with colleges and universities; managing employee relations and conducting personnel investigations; responding to workers’ compensation and EDD claims; conducting STRS, PERS and other audits, and complying with California employment and charter school laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION: -A minimum of a four-year college degree from an accredited college/university in human resources management, business, public administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. -HR Certificate, PHR (SHRM-CP), SPHR (SHRM-SCP) or California Employment Law Micro-Credential preferred. EXPERIENCE: -5-7 plus years of increasingly responsible human resources generalist and management experience, ideally in the education sector, including public contact and credential experience. -Successful experience in turnaround and startup environments is preferred.
