REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. AA degree in education or related field, related experience can meet this requirement 2. Three or more years of experience working with school aged children OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience 3. Leadership experience in public TK-6 education strongly preferred 4. Bilingual/Biliterate (Spanish) desirable 5. Interpersonal skills to relate to parents, students and staff DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides leadership and vision to the program in collaboration with administration and other school staff, youth and families, community members, and the District Community Schools Coordinator. 2. Conduct a needs assessment by working with school administrators, site staff, district staff, partner agencies, parents and students to identify site specific barriers to learning, available resources, and gaps in programs, services, and resources. 3. Serve as a liaison between the school, the home, and community partners in building and maintaining positive relationships that support student learning and emotional wellness. This includes home visits with families, collaborating with local agencies, participating in community meetings, etc. 4. Establishes, fosters and maintains quality internal and external partnerships, creating integrated service delivery system that supports student success and wellness. 5. Ensures program compliance with all applicable district wide policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, including funding allocations, and standards of quality and safety. 6. Ability to work with diverse individuals and/or groups; work with data of different types and/or purposes 7. Ability to problem solve, analyze issues, create plans of action, and reach solutions 8. Display an understanding and maintenance of confidentiality and work with discretion.
