Possess an associate of arts or science degree from an accredited SLPA program OR bachelor’s degree with speech language pathology assistant license (communication disorders) Hold valid California Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license Position currently inlcudes in-person services in Stanislaus County Training provided including shadowing and ongoing supervision Supervision of SLPA provided in accordance with CA requirements · Follow and implement treatment plans developed by supervising SLP · Provide appropriate caregiver coaching and individual therapy consistent with IFSP outcomes · Establish and maintain good rapport and supportive relationships with families · Written documentation of consumer visits · Maintain record keeping for individual consumers · Ability to maintain a consistent schedule for consumers on caseload · Experience working with families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds · Document progress toward meeting established child and family outcomes and report information to supervising SLP · Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations · Participate in IFSP meetings as needed under supervision of a SLP · Complete screenings, without interpretation, as selected by the supervising SLP · Complete semi-annual progress reporting · Participate in quarterly staff meetings, annual continuing education, and training · Maintain reliable transportation · Current vehicle documentation (updated car insurance and car registration)
