Job Summary
Under the direction of the Nutrition Services Director, assists in planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising District-wide food service programs, operations, and the Point of Service (POS) system. Assist in menu planning, quality control, accounting functions, and the preparation of various reports. Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned nutrition services department personnel; ensures compliance with District policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the food service program.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURE:
The examination process for this recruitment may be comprised of one or any combination of the following: competitive screening of the applicant's training, background, and experience; scored evaluation of responses on a supplemental application; written examination(s); qualifications appraisal oral examination; performance examination; or technical oral examination, scored on a job-related basis. Only the most highly qualified candidates will be invited to continue in the examination process. Successful candidates who pass all parts of the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list in order of their relative merit as determined by these competitive examinations.
1.Training and Experience Evaluation: a screening of the applicant's training, background, and experience, and evaluation of responses on a supplemental application. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements and whose application was complete at the time the recruitment closed will move to the Qualification Appraisal Interview/Oral Exam.
2.Qualification Appraisal Interview/Oral Exam: This exam will evaluate your qualification, education, experience, training, and suitability. The oral exam is rated by a panel of subject matter experts. This portion of the exam requires that it be recorded. The designated passing score is a minimum of 70%. The weight of the oral exam is worth 100%. The date of the exam is TBD.
Applicants successful in the oral examination process will be placed on an employee or an outside applicant eligibility list by rank order of their examination score. This score will include seniority credit or veterans’ points if applicable. Both lists are good for up to one year and are updated due to continuous examinations or employment status during the life of the eligibility lists as needed.
