Job Summary

The job of Director of Maintenance and Operations is done for the purpose/s of planning, organizing and directing the maintenance, repair and alteration of District buildings and grounds; serving as the District representative in planning and developing facilities and new construction; ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines; preparing and managing the annual budgets for the Maintenance, Grounds and Custodial departments; and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and other resources.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Coursework in any of the related fields of construction management, school facilities, or business administration. High School Graduate or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Public Administration or related field preferred. Experience: Five years experience in any combination in the related areas of construction management, and school facilities. Knowledge of: building codes, blueprints, and safety practices; State and Federal mandates relating to public school construction. Knowledge of engineering and architecture desired. Strong background in general maintenance and construction, with skilled experience in one or more of the building maintenance trades; two years of supervisory experience.

Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance TB Clearance
