Job Summary
The Spanish Teacher will create a positive and engaging classroom environment that introduces and builds Spanish language proficiency, cultural appreciation, and global awareness. The teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to ensure a developmentally appropriate, standards-aligned curriculum that supports students’ academic and spiritual growth in line with our Catholic values. Responsibilities: - Teach Spanish language classes to TK–8 students, adapting instruction to various age and ability levels. - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. - Foster an appreciation for Hispanic/Latino cultures and traditions. - Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the school's mission and student learning goals. - Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress. - Participate in relevant school events, meetings, and professional development. Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field preferred. - Prior teaching experience with elementary and/or middle school students strongly preferred. - Ability to create a joyful and respectful classroom rooted in Catholic values. - Strong classroom management and organizational skills. - Practicing Catholic preferred but not required.
