Job Summary
Job Summary
AVID tutors work a maximum of 20 hours per week at a rate of $18.50/hour and must be available during the school hours on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. Friday is optional depending on each site. Specific schedules will differ based on the needs of the schools. Tutors will receive a minimum of 8 hours of professional development per school year either through the district or RIMS AVID. (See attached job description for detailed essential duties)
Requirements / Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS * At least 18 years of age *A High School diploma, a GED certificate, or a higher degree is required. (Verification due upon employment) * Verification of degree OR current enrollment in a college or university * Successful completion of the district's proficiency exam (a rigorous assessment that demonstrates knowledge in reading, writing, and mathematics) EXPERIENCE: * No formal experience required

The foreign transcripts must be evaluated by one of the approved organizations, listed on the Rialto Unified School District website, in order to be accepted. These organizations are private enterprises who charge a fee for their services. Individuals pursuing a foreign transcript evaluation must follow the procedures outlined by the organization providing the evaluation. In all instances, original, official documentation will be required when requesting the evaluation.
