
INSTRUCTIONAL IMPROVEMENT LEAD TEACHER: SECONDARY (LYNWOOD HIGH SCHOOL) at Lynwood Unified School District

* * * THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO LYNWOOD FULLTIME TEACHERS ONLY * * * DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Director/Principal, or his/her designee, the Instructional Improvement Lead: Secondary, serves as a critical resource to the teachers and administrators of the District and/or school assigned. The Lead teacher assists in the planning and implementation of an effective, results-driven secondary level programs, the Instructional Improvement Lead will work closely with the District and school sites to assure a coherent, district-wide system of curriculum, instruction and assessment. California Single Subject Credential, Multiple Subjects Credential or Education Specialist Credential. . Three years of successful teaching experience demonstrating site instructional leadership roles.
. Appropriate certification to teach English Language Learners (CLAD, BCLAD, SB1969 certificate, BCC or LDS certificate. . Expertise and understanding of the California State Content Standards and Frameworks and differentiated classroom instructional practices that promote student academic success. . Knowledge of multi-tiered support strategies for behavior interventions. . Proven ability to work effectively with staff members to develop a Professional Learning Community. . Knowledge of and success in utilizing and promoting differentiated instructional techniques that result in improved student learning. . Strong oral and written communication skills. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: . Permanent status in Lynwood Unified School District . Administrative Credential preferred to support as administrative designee when needed . Secondary site level experience preferred . Ability to travel to other sites/locations. . Knowledge of Classroom Management Practices. .
