THE POSITION: Coordinates and provides technical, specialized, consultative, and advisory input on data systems certificated recruitment and selection; will automate process to enhance the efficiency; track trends and desegregate data to drive decision making. Through the utilization of technology is responsibilities for substitute teacher staffing, recruitment, selection, and processing of teachers; developing a yearly recruitment calendar; working collaboratively with the credentials unit to ensure applicants are appropriately credentialed for assignments; maintain statistical data on recruitment activities, applicants, and new hires; serve as a resource to office employees; and perform related duties as assigned. The Coordinator II position analyzes the division's work processes and leverages innovative technology to improve these processes. Similarly, the Coordinator II is responsible for updating and maintaining several division-specific information systems and processes and directs a team to update and maintain various systems. The position requires specialized technological knowledge of applications to subject matter expertise in education services and credentials, as well as extensive administrative experience. Responsibilities include direct supervision of personnel. Administrative direction is provided by the Director, Human Resource Services.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Experience: Three (3) years of school site administrative and management experience and two (2) years of technology and/or data information systems proficiency. Experience in personnel or human resource administration preferred. Education: Equivalent to a Master’s degree in education or a closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Specialized training in the area of technology/data information systems. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: Possess and maintain a valid California Administrative Services Credential authorizing service K-12 (must attach credential to application).
