Now Hiring: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Salary: $285,445 – $342,275 annually Apply: June 30 – July 14, 2025 at www.lausdjobs.org Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial operations of the second-largest school district in the nation. This full-time, 12-month executive position is based at LAUSD’s Central Office and requires on-site presence five days a week. The CFO will oversee multiple major business divisions, including budgeting, accounting, procurement, payroll, and risk management, while managing a General Fund exceeding $7 billion and supporting a $20.6 billion capital program. This role is responsible for strategic financial planning, debt issuance, and advising senior leadership on fiscal matters, policies, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of high-level financial management experience, preferably in the public sector, with a strong background in school finance, capital planning, and stakeholder engagement. A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is highly desirable.
