Requirements / Qualifications

SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include using graphic design tools and software (Adobe Suite, video editing software, etc.); operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software tools and programs; possessing excellent communication and technical skills; planning and managing multiple projects; and excellent verbal and written communication skills. KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to perform the functions of the job include planning and implementing strategic communication activities; organization and time management; concepts of conflict resolution; pertinent codes, policies, regulations, and/or laws; current and developing technology; designing and optimizing content for the web and digital communication channels; and principles of brand marketing and communications. Developing, writing, formatting, and editing creative content for web pages, digital newsletters, videos, social media, and print communications and publications; website design, development, and implementation; graphic design/layout/photography; general principles of marketing and public relations; structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Failure to provide the required documents will result in applicant being screened out:

  • Copy of Transcript ( Degree in job-related area (Bachelor's Degree preferred))
  • Driver's License Copy (Must be valid)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation ARE required. Must be signed and dated within one year to be valid.)

Education: Community college and/or vocational school degree with study in a job-related area and bachelor’s degree preferred.
