Job Summary

Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered High School Science Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is passionate about science education, enjoys working with adolescents in and out of the classroom, and is eager to contribute to the unique culture of a boarding school. This position offers the opportunity to teach across multiple disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Physics, depending on background and interest. Responsibilities * Teach 5 sections of high school science, including lab-based instruction * Create and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with college-preparatory standards * Foster critical thinking, scientific literacy, and hands-on exploration * Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary projects and curriculum planning * Provide regular academic support and feedback to students * Participate in the full life of the school, including advising, faculty meetings, and student activities * Contribute to residential life duties such as dorm supervision, weekend activities, or outdoor excursions Benefits * Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications * On-campus housing and meals (for residential faculty) * Health, dental, and vision insurance * Access to outdoor recreation and wellness resources * Professional development support * Close-knit, supportive educational community

Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in a science field required; advanced degree preferred * Teaching experience at the high school level strongly preferred * California teaching credential preferred but not required * Ability to teach multiple science disciplines a plus * Strong classroom management and communication skills * Enthusiasm for experiential learning and outdoor education
