Job Summary
•Must be motivated; articulate; knowledgeable in curriculum and instruction, California ELA/ELD Standards & Framework, data analysis, coaching, and professional development; and able to apply these skills to develop these skills in others •Conduct on-going staff and leadership training with model lessons, coaching, and follow-upsupport using an identified models of instruction proven effective with EL students •Develop lessons and work with school site cadres (teachers and leadership teams) to provide a system of collaborations and instructional support specifically targeted to meet the needs of EL students •Assist teachers and site leadership in engaging EL students in learning and in checking for student mastery and while developing English Language proficiency •Provide training institutes during non-teaching times such as summer, spring break, winter break,and after school hours and during the school day on identified strategies, skills, and instructional models that are research based, and proven effective with EL students
