Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Superintendent or designee, to serve as the instructional leader of the school; plan and direct the instructional program; and participate in staff development, student and community activities; supervise certificated and classified employees; maintain good public relations; is responsible for the operation of the school site The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: -Serve as the instructional leader and effectively communicate the mission of the school and District to staff, parents, students and the community. -Provide leadership and curriculum, discipline, and student activities. -Understand and apply the characteristics of instructional effectiveness in the management of the instructional program at the school. -Analyze data; determine target areas for long and short range plans to improve student enrichment. -Supervise, train, and evaluate staff; assigned faculty and staff as appropriate to meet School objectives. -Provide a high quality structured staff development program based on school and District goals for the entire staff -Welcome parents to the school and encourage the teaching staff to share teaching and learning activities with parents -Serve as a district officer in a positive communication between district administration, teachers and classified employees in the schools, and interpret and implement district policies. -Complete special assignments as requested by the Superintendent or designee. -Assigns all students in such a way as to encourage their Optimum growth. -Assesses the progress of the students. -Assists in screening and interviewing candidates. Recommends appointments and assignments of staff members. -Plans, organizes and directs the business operations of the school site; including budgets in ordinance with district policies and procedures.

-Standards, curriculum, and instructional methodologies for elementary school. -School site administrative practices. -Special education laws, best practices, and modifications/ accommodations -Student discipline, motivation and attendance strategies -English Learner practices (integrated and designated) -Multi Tiered Systems of Support/ Interventions -Integration of instructional technology -District policies, procedures, and regulations. -State educational and related laws -State, and federal regulations. -Budget preparation, and control. -Goals, objectives, and policies of the district. -Interpersonal skills, such as counseling, coaching, and mediation. -PBIS and other positive discipline/ cultural practices -Utilization of data for program improvement Letter of Introduction Resume 3 Signed Professional Letters of Recommendation Valid TB (within 4 years) Valid CA Drivers License
