Job Summary
Job Summary
We are looking for a Part-Time Campus Aide with the ability to engage and support all students in an inclusive environment. Campus Aides create safe and organized environments for play-based activities, recreation, and mealtimes. Role: Campus Aides are responsible for providing supervision of students in grades K-8 during breakfast, recess, and lunch and facilitating structured outdoor play. The Campus Aide must be committed to preserving the mission, vision, and educational philosophy of the school. This includes collaborating with the school community to maintain a positive learning environment promoting values such as respect, safety, mutual support, motivation, and personal growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Supervise students during scheduled play and mealtimes. • Communicate with teachers on persistent student behavior or behavior that wasn't resolved during recess • Setting-up and cleaning-up yard area and play equipment and maintaining equipment shed. • Monitoring assigned areas to insure adherence to the rules and safety measures. • Reinforcing positive behavior and following of rules. • Engaging students in problem-solving strategies on the playground • Attending all meetings and trainings. • Providing feedback and communicating regularly with Lead Campus Aide • Ensuring the safety and well-being of students and promoting MLC Behavior Standards
Requirements / Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications: • High School Diploma • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, but not necessary. • Experience in organizing play-based activities
