Requirements / Qualifications
The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking a highly qualified counselor for the Digital Learning and Beyond (DLAB) program at Baldwin Park High School and also supporting the middle school students at the Vineland DLAB program. The DLAB counselor provides high quality counseling services to students in a non-traditional secondary school setting. Services include academic, college, and career guidance for students and parents. The DLAB counselor will also provide social and emotional services such as conducting outreach home visits, facilitating extracurricular activities, and developing/identifying community resources for students and their families. The DLAB counselor is responsible to the site principal and will perform duties and responsibilities normally associated with a secondary school counselor. Internal candidates may receive priority for interviews. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s Degree • California Pupil Personnel Services Credential, Specialization in School Counseling PREFERENCES • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred • High School experience in counseling • Five years of school experience including a minimum of three years of experience in the classroom
